Yelp passport to good eats and good times at the amazing city of El Segundo! Seven amazing stops and a epic culinary and cultural

I am always excited when there are South Bay Yelp Elite events and last night’s Tour de El Segundo was definitely one great event highlighting one of the best cities in the South Bay. I definitely fell in love with the city last night.
We kicked off the night at the Old Town Music Hall. This is a historic theatre that was established in 1921. It is home to Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ and we got to hear some supercool musicplayed on the organ by the one and only Stirling Yearian. There was a little bit of fun karaoke via songs such as “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” and “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and we got to watch a Felix the Cat silent film. Hmm I wonder if our singing will get us five stars on Yelp hehe!

After Old Town Music Hall; we were then off to our walking tour and some good eats.
First culinary visit and second stop of the tour was Rock and Brews. Some of the eats we got to indulge in were the South x Southwest Eggrolls, Rockin’ Buffalo Cauliflower Wings and Bread Pudding with Bourbon Caramel Sauce. We also got to try one of their local brews! My favorite was definitely the South x Southwest Eggrolls. I loved these eggrolls that was filled with roasted chicken, black beans, pepper jack, red peppers, onions and corn. It also had a great chipotle ranch dipping sauce. The other dishes we tried here were also quite delightful!

Third stop for the night was Richmond Bar and Grill. We got to try Deep Fried Pickles, Sliders, Richmond’s Famous Chips and Chipotle Rolls. There was also some wine and beer to pair with the food. I really liked Famous Chips that are homemade and cut fresh daily. Their sliders which had a burger inside Kings Hawaiian Sweet Roll were also quite fulfilling.

Fourth stop for the night was Tapizon Bar Kitchen. Here we got to enjoy some awesome Brazillian eats. Cheesy Dice -Dadinho de Tapioca, Fried Yucca Sticks, Smoked Brisket in Tapioca Flour Tortilla, Pao de Queijo Sliders and Smoked Tofu + Veg Pot Pie. We also got to try Caipirinha; Brazil’s national drink as well as a Passion Fruit drink. I really loved the Cheesy Dice -Dadinho de Tapioca. The crispy tapioca cheese fritters with spicy açaí sauce as love at first bite!

Fifth stop was Brewport Taphouse. This place treated us to Nashville Hot Wings, Hoison BBQ Wings, Naked Wings and The American Burger. We also got a wristband where we had the choices to get flights of beer or glasses of wine or sake! Amazing good savory dishes and sips here!

Sixth stop was the ESMOA art museum. The Experimentally Structured Museum of Art was a neat little stop. We each got a few postcards that featured some of their cool exhibits

Our seventh and final stop was the Metro Cafe El Segundo. Though this last it was definitely not the least. Our culinary treats here consisted of the Egg Brioche with Truffle and Beef Kabob Wrap. We also got some yummy bubbly as each Yelper got a glass of champagne. Cheers!

I am always amazed with each and Yelp Elite Event that I am able to participate in. I loved this event and can’t wait to be back in El Segundo for more Hello Foodie Jenn adventures!
