Baking fresh from Redondo Beach! I am so excited that The Pie Hole is now in the South Bay! Since 2011; The Pie Hole has opened up five locations in Southern California (Hollywood, Arts District, Orange, Pasadena and Anaheim) and two locations in Tokyo) (Nishiazabu and Arakawa-ku); thus making the Redondo Beach shop their 6th store front location. Located at Redondo Beach’s Riviera Village; South Bay folks can now enjoy The Pie Hole’s fresh pies daily. The Pie Hole’s pies are all made by hand and from scratch with recipes that have been passed down from five generations!

The Pie Hole Redondo Beach just had their grand opening this past March 17, 2023. Having their grand opening opening on St. Patrick’s Day seems just so perfect as how lucky can we be to have this famous pie shop now in the South Bay.

The Pie Hole Redondo Beach is currently in their soft opening stage but they already have quite a selection of pies to choose from. They have both savory and sweet pies on their menu.

For the savory pies; they currently have two pot pies; Cheeseburger and Chicken and Biscuit. The Chicken and Biscuit is The Pie Hole’s number one selling savory pie and I can definitely see why. I love chicken pot pie and The Pie Hole’s version. This savory pie has slow cooked chicken in a creamy sauce with fresh vegetables and herbs and is topped off with a biscuit. I love how the crust is so flaky and crisp. As for the filling; it was nice and creamy with a hearty mix of tender chicken and veggies. There were giant chunks of chicken in this pie and so it was definitely filling. I also really liked the biscuit on top. The biscuit has a buttery taste to it and was the perfect top to this pie.

From savory to sweet; one must save room for dessert! One can’t leave The Pie Hole without trying one of their sweet pies! Currently for this Soft Opening phase they have the following offerings; Coconut Cream, Serial Lover, Earl Grey Tea, Lemon Cheesecake, Abuelita’s Chocolate and Mom’s Apple Crumble. They also have pie bites which is currently a Nutella flavor.

The Pie Hole’s best selling sweet pie is the Earl Grey Tea. It is a pie inspired by the classic earl grey tea. The earl grey tea is infused in a white chocolate mousse that is then placed on top of a layer of dark chocolate ganache. It is then sprinkled with pistachios. The earl grey tea is even baked into the buttery crust. Tea lovers rejoice because this pie definitely does the tea justice. It is one delicious pie!

Aside from pie; The Pie Hole Redondo Beach also is currently serving lattes. Coffee and pie; yes please! I’ve got a coffee crush and now thanks to The Pie Hole; I’ve got a crust crush ;). They will have more specialty drinks coming soon and among the offerings will be Horchata, Salted Caramel, various Matcha drinks.

Also coming soon will be breakfast offerings that will include bagels and croissants!I can definitely seeing myself coming to The Pie Hole for breakfast. (Shh….I can see myself coming here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks hehe!)
