As a huge ramen lover, I was so excited to attend a special Yelp Elite Experience celebrating APIHM at HiroNori Craft Ramen. It honestly could not have been a better way to kick off the long holiday weekend.

The Yelp Elite Experience gave Yelpers the chance to enjoy one ramen bowl of choice along with HiroNori’s popular crispy rice with spicy tuna appetizer.

The crispy rice arrived first. It came with two golden crispy rice pieces topped with spicy tuna, avocado, jalapeño, and a drizzle of eel sauce.

This appetizer is one of the dishes that Hiro Nori is famous for. I was impressed with contrast in textures. It was crispy on the outside, soft in the center, paired with creamy spicy tuna and just a little heat from the jalapeño. The eel sauce added the perfect touch of sweetness to balance everything out.

For my main dish, I chose the Tonkatsu ramen, one of HiroNori’s signature bowls.

The bowl was loaded with delicious toppings including two large slices of tender pork chashu, a perfectly seasoned half egg, seaweed, wood ear mushrooms, and fresh vegetables. Every bite felt hearty, flavorful, and satisfying.

Beyond the food, it was also meaningful to celebrate APIHM by supporting a Japanese-owned restaurant that brings authentic flavors and culture to the community.
