This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Torrance Firefighters’ 51st Annual Spaghetti Dinner at the Ken Miller Recreation Center in Torrance. This beloved community event has been going strong for over five decades. It wasn’t just a chance to enjoy some delicious food—it was also an opportunity to support a meaningful cause: the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation and its CHAMP Camp, a summer camp dedicated to helping young burn survivors heal and thrive.
The event was a testament to the strength of our local community. Firefighters, volunteers, and attendees came together to make the evening a success. We all enjoyed hearty spaghetti served with a side of camaraderie, all in support of a cause that makes a real difference.

Being part of an event like this is a reminder of the incredible power of community support. When we come together for a cause that’s bigger than ourselves, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
