Earlier this year Hannam Chain Del Amo opened up in Torrance, California. The Korean market was a highly anticipated opening and lots of South Bay locals like myself was happy to welcome the new market offering fresh fruits, vegetables and Korean goods. This month Hannam Chain Del Amo opened up a food court in their market and brought even more (food) happiness to the Torrance. The new food court has currently three occupants: Paris Baguette, Kyodong Noodle and Goobne Chicken.
Paris Baguette
It’s a welcome sight to see Paris Baguette back in the South Bay! A few years back they had a lovely store in Redondo Beach, California and I loved their fresh bread offerings. Unfortunately the Redondo Beach location closed but I am happy to see them now in Torrance! My Hello Kitty Foodie recommendation here is their almond croissants. Yes; it’s another croissant crush recommendation. I love the huge, flaky buttery croissants topped with lots and lots of almonds.

Kyodong Noodle
Kyodong Noodle is also not new the South Bay as they have a location in Gardena, California. This eatery offers authentic Korean dishes such as Woolpong (White Seafood Noodle Soup) and Jjajangmyun (Black Bean Noodle). My Hello Kitty Foodie recommendation is the Black Bean Noodle. It’s like a Korean pasta with sweet and savory black bean sauce. The black bean sauce even has little chunks of meat in it.

Goobne Chicken
Last but not definitely not least is Goobne Chicken. This place is definitely a new favorite of mine. Goobne in Korean means “it’s roasting.” This eatery offers fresh roasted chicken in a variety of flavors. The flavors range from original to volcano. My Hello Kitty Foodie recommendation is the Galbi. The Galbi chicken is flavored with Goobne’s special sauce that is flavored with 10 different Korean domestic fruits and vegetables. I love the smoky, sweet taste.

Paris Baguette, Kyodong Noodle and Goobne Chicken are just the start of yummy eateries to come to Hannam Chain Del Amo. I am definitely excited to see what other places will open up.
