As a Yelp Elite, I’m constantly reminded how lucky I am to be part of a community that not only loves food but also supports local businesses. One of the most flavorful reminders came during a recent Yelp Elite Experience at Lucky Pizza in Gardena, California. This spot is Lucky Pizza’s second location. Their original location is in Canoga Park.
Walking into Lucky Pizza just as they opened, I was greeted by their friendly employee and the sight of warm fresh pies just out of the oven. It’s a small but welcoming spot, and it felt special knowing we were getting an early taste of something Gardena’s still discovering—this location only opened about five months ago!
This Yelp Elite Experience treated us to two slices of pizza and a drink—a simple yet satisfying combo. We had our pick from pepperoni, supreme, and cheese, and I went all in on the supreme: a mouthwatering mix of sausage, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and plenty of melty mozzarella. Each bite hit that perfect balance of savory and satisfying, all layered on a thin, crispy crust that had just the right crunch.

Pairing it with an ice-cold Gatorade (with a cup of ice kindly offered!) made it the perfect little afternoon indulgence.
Experiences like this are a reminder of how Yelp connects us not only to great food, but to the people and places that make our neighborhoods thrive.

Being a Yelp Elite means more than great food—it’s about discovering hidden gems, supporting small businesses, and sharing those experiences with others. Days like this remind me how truly lucky I am to be a part of it all. 🍕❤️
