Home run!
Just recently Shohei Ohtani became the first player in MLB history to be in the 50/50 club. That is 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season. The night he did this happened to also be the night of a Yelp Elite Event at Tomizo Ramen in Gardena, California.
Tomizo Ramen was the perfect spot to be at for the Shohei’s milestone 50/50! This ramen spot is decked out in Shohei decor and is well known for offering a special $10 Ohtani Ramen the day after Ohtani hits a home run.
For our Yelp Elite event however; it was their famous Tomizo Ramen that was the home run!

The Tomizo Ramen is a limited ramen offered only five times a day. It’s their largest ramen with a garlic shoyu tonkatsu base and filled with bean sprouts, cabbage, onions, flat noodles, chashu and garlic. It’s packed with ingredients and flavor! It’s a home run for sure.
Aside from their delicious ramen; us Yelp elites were treated to a variety of different appetizers.
The Chicken Nanban was another home run!

The crispy deep fried chicken topped with a sauce made out vinegar and tartar sauce was so tasty.
A surprise stolen base came with Tomizo’s Plant Based Bao.

I was pleasantly surprised with how soft this bao was. I also really enjoyed the plant based ground meat inside.
I also really loved Tomizo’s Gyoza!

I was a fan of the thin crispy skin and flavorful ground meat inside. It truly knocked the flavors out of the park.
Last but not least was the Takoyaki.

Tomizo’s Takoyaki feels like being transported to Osaka. The creamy, salty and savory flavors are abundant.
It was a true home run experience at the Yelp Elite event at Tomizo Ramen! Each and every dish was a delight and I will definitely be back soon when Shohei hits his next home run.
