Hello Aggretsuko Season 2!

Hello Aggretsuko Season 2!

Back in April of this year, I shared the happy news about our favorite Sanrio Panda, Aggretsuko getting her very own Netflix show. Throughout season 1 of Aggretsuko; we all laughed, cried and raged on with Aggretsuko.

I know when the first season ended, I was about to go through my own rage session…how could this cool show end? Well, thankfully there’s no need to go to into the Den of Rage and have a raging karaoke session because Aggetsuko will be back for Season 2 on Netflix in 2019!

During this year’s Anime Expo, Sanrio and Netflix,  made the exciting announcement that there will be a season 2 coming this 2019. There’s already a teaser for season 2 which can be seen: here.

When Aggretsuko made her global debut on Netflix on April 20, 2018; we all fell in love with her day-to-day story as an office associate in the accounting department of a trading company in Tokyo. We were a part of her journey as she faced daily stresses and conflicts in a comical way.

Season 1 streamed on Netflix worldwide, was dubbed in 8 languages including English, Chinese, Spanish and subtitled in 23 languages including Chinese, Korean, English and Spanish.

This season 2 expect to laugh a little more, relate even more and rage on and on because Aggetsuko is back to grind!

Hello Aggretsuko’s Den of Rage!

Hello Aggretsuko’s Den of Rage!

Just recently I wrote on this blog a post about the new animated Netflix series, Aggretsuko! In celebration of the launch of the amazing show, Aggretsuko has some very special events planned for us! The first of this is her taking over Sanrio’s Japanese Village shop in Little Tokyo.

I attended the opening up of the pop this Friday, May 4 and was simply in awe! The first thing that you will see is Aggretsuko’s office space.

We all know Aggretsuko is a sweet red panda who struggles to make it through her day job at one of Tokyo’s most respected trading companies. We get to experience her office days first hand as we see her desk! Her super cute desk that has photos of her with her friends, a neat Hello Kitty calendar as well all the paperwork she’s assigned too (sigh! Rage!!!)

As we’ve seen in the netflix series; her bosses are unsympathetic and give her harsh deadlines! All around her desk are her coworkers. Director Ton is bossing her around. Secretary Washimi is watching over her and then there is nosy Fenneko.

What is a red panda to do when she is pushed to her limit??  She goes into rage mode at the Den of Rage!

Sanrio Japanese Village; the 800 square foot retail space in downtown L.A. has been transformed into Aggretsuko’s Den of Rage.  Here Aggretsuko freely goes into “rage mode” and channels her frustration through heavy metal karaoke sessions.

All of us fans can rage along with her for two weeks until May 16! Not only will we get channel our inner red panda we will also have the opportunity to shop the largest selection of new imported and exclusive Aggretsuko merchandise in the world

Aggetsuko’s office space and Den of Rage is truly a sight to see! Hurry on over to Sanrio Japanese Village and be a part of our favorite red panda’s world!

Hello Aggretsuko on Netflix!

Hello Aggretsuko on Netflix!

For all the Netflix fans; Hello Kitty’s dear friend Aggretsuko has a very special treat for us! Our favorite red panda who is a mild-mannered office worker by day/heavy metal karaoke singer by night is the star of a new series coming out on Netflix.

The show follows along on the journey of Retsuko. The 25-year-old red panda is an office associate in the accounting department of a trading company in Tokyo. All she wants is to do her job and get through the day, but when frustrations reach a boiling point, she vents through death metal.

I recently had a chance to watch some of the first episodes and instantly became a fan. There were times when I wasn’t sure if I should laugh or cry as she goes through her day. Young and bright; Retsuko starts off the day full of hope but then the overwhelming tasks start coming and slowly pile up. Adding on to her work woes are her annoying pig boss who plays golf all the time and her nosy coworker who spreads rumors about anything and every thing. I couldn’t help but giggle when Restuko saves herself from a rumor spreading of her quitting by telling her coworker she was constipated. I sadly sympathized when her dreams of working somewhere else were dashed. I laughed when she tried to lose weight to become more desirable. She is easily relatable and that’s what makes her so enduring. We’ve all had those moments when we just want to “rage.” 😉

Laugh, cry, giggle or rage on; you will surely love Aggretsuko more because of this show! The Aggretsuko series will debut globally on April 20 on Netflix.
