I kicked off my first Yelp Elite event of 2026 at Piccini Italian Takeout in Palos Verdes, and it was such a fun way to start the year. I’ve been to their Torrance location before, but I was really excited to finally check out this newer spot.

For the Yelp Elite tasting, we got to choose a starter, entrée, dessert, and a drink (aka my dream scenario). I went with the meatballs to start, the Fettuccine Brasato for my main, and tiramisu for dessert.

The meatballs were seriously comforting—juicy, flavorful, and covered in a rich marinara sauce. I loved that they’re based on a family recipe and use their own handmade breadcrumbs, which really makes a difference. My Fettuccine Brasato was packed with tender braised beef and cremini mushrooms, all coated in a creamy pink sauce that felt indulgent but not too heavy. And the tiramisu? Light, creamy, and perfectly espresso-y—such a classic and such a good way to end the meal.

All in all, Piccini was such a great pick for my first Elite experience of the year.
