Hello Yelp Elite Experience – Telerefic Barcelona Long Beach!

Walking into Teleferic Barcelona for a recent Yelp Elite Experience instantly brought me back to the streets of Barcelona. I visited the city in 2024 and fell in love with its culture, energy, and, of course, the food. This place captured all of that — it was like a mini trip to Spain without leaving California.

Sangria

We kicked things off with sangria. Teleferic has a few options (Barceloneta, Spicy, Teleferic, and Virgin Barceloneta). We decided to go with the Barceloneta Sangria. It’s sparkling wine, lemonade, prickly pear, honey, rosemary, orange, and mixed berries all in one glass. Fruity, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, it made a rainy day feel like summer in Spain.

Tapas

The first tapas we tried were the Ham Croquettes. Golden, crispy outside, creamy and filled with tender Iberian ham inside — honestly, they melted in my mouth. Then came the Patatas Bravas. These crispy potatoes were smothered with rich, slightly spicy Brava sauce and aioli. They had the perfect kick.

We couldn’t resist adding Pollo Empanadas. Four chicken empanadas on a stick, with a delicate, crisp exterior and tasty roasted chicken inside. I loved dipping them in the spicy aioli.

Paella

No trip to Barcelona would be complete without paella, so of course we had to get one. We went with the Veggie Paella, packed with shiitake mushrooms, broccolini, and dollops of truffle aioli. The socarrat- the crispy, caramelized layer at the bottom was next level. Every bite was bursting with flavor!

Dining here really felt like being back in Barcelona and this was such an amazing Yelp Community Experience. If you’re looking for a taste of Spain without hopping on a plane, this is the spot.
