I think I may have just discovered a coffee shop where I can stay and savor every sip of coffee. Walking into Stay Coffee in Lawndale, California, I immediately fell in love with the spot. The coffee house is large, airy, and inviting, with plenty of seating—including gorgeous rattan egg chairs that I just wanted to sink into and relax. While the cozy atmosphere is a major plus, the food and drinks are the real reason I became an instant fan.

Stay Coffee’s menu is as wonderful as the space itself. Their brunch options run from 8am to 2pm, featuring Dutch baby pancakes, open toast, skillets, and hearty breakfast plates. Later in the day, the all-day menu keeps you staying satisfied with salads, tortilla pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches. If you’re a matcha fan, their drink menu is reason enough to linger a little longer.
On my first visit, my friend and I tried three items that had us both smiling: the Meatball and Egg Skillet, the Truffle Garlic Mushroom Pasta, and the Banana Kick Matcha Latte.

Truffle Garlic Pasta
The Truffle Garlic Pasta was indulgent and comforting, with thin, perfectly cooked noodles and a rich truffle-garlic flavor that makes you want to stay at the table just a little longer.
Meatball and Egg Skillet
The Meatball and Egg Skillet was equally satisfying. I loved this hearty, savory dish with perfectly cooked eggs, melty mozzarella, tender meatballs, and marinara sauce that hits just the right note. It’s a breakfast that truly makes you want to linger over every bite.
Banana Kick Matcha
The Banana Kick Matcha Latte was the surprise star of my visit. This is my new favorite matcha drink! The sweetness of the banana balances the earthy matcha perfectly, and the creamy texture makes each sip feel like a little treat. Topped with cute banana puffs, this drink is as fun as it is delicious—a matcha moment that makes you want to stay and savor it.
Stay Coffee is now officially one of my go-to spots in the South Bay. Between the airy, cozy interior and the thoughtfully crafted food and drinks, it’s a place you’ll want to stay a little longer every time. If you’re in the South Bay and appreciate great coffee and delicious food, this is a stop you can’t miss. You’ll want to stay for the moment, just like I did.
