Hello Carnival Firenze! 🚢

Seas the Flavor While Sailing on Carnival Firenze!

I recently came back from a cruise on Carnival Firenze and it was a truly fantastic trip on this ship that’s all about “Fun Italian Style!”

It was also a full-on flavor voyage! From poolside bites to elevated dining, this ship brings bold tastes and casual fun to every deck. In this blog post, I’m sharing a little taste of the foodie gems I discovered onboard.

🍔 Guy’s Burger Joint

First stop? Guy’s Burger Joint! This spot on Deck 10 always had a line—and for good reason! It’s a poolside favorite that totally lives up to the hype, serving up juicy, smash-griddled burgers designed by the Guy Fieri.

I had the Pepperoni Pizza Burger. It is a Carnival-exclusive topped with a giant fried mozzarella disc, crispy strips of pepperoni, pepperoni marinara, donkey sauce, provolone, aged Parmesan, and S.M.C. (Super Melty Cheese). It was indulgent in all the right ways, and I completely get why people come back here almost every day for lunch.

🍗 Chicken Shack

Just around the corner on Deck 10 is Chicken Shack. This is the go-to for crispy chicken tenders, sandwiches, and thin-cut fries. It’s casual, quick, and hits the spot—especially when you’re fresh off the pool deck and need something crunchy.

Bonus: they serve chicken and biscuits in the morning! The golden chicken tenders and those crispy fries? Absolute chef’s kiss!

🌮 Tomodoro

Also on Deck 10 is Tomodoro, a Mexi-Italian fusion taco and burrito spot—and yes, it’s included!

I tried the chicken taco topped with zesty crema and shredded cheese, and it was poolside perfection. It’s a great quick bite with bold flavors and a fun twist. Definitely worth stopping by more than once.

🥟 Empanada Shop

Tucked away in the Tuscan Lounge on Deck 5, the Empanada Shop. This spot quickly became one of my favorite finds.

This à la carte spot serves warm, flaky empanadas filled with things like spiced chicken, beef, and even sweet dessert fillings. It’s the perfect snack while watching karaoke—or if you’re just craving something different from the buffet.

At just $1.50 each, they’re a great deal, too!

🍽️ Michelangelo Restaurant (Main Dining Room)

For a more refined dining experience, the Michelangelo Restaurant, Carnival Firenze’s main dining room brings all the cruise dining feels with a touch of Italian flair.

With warm lighting, elegant décor, a giant replica of Michelangelo’s David and even singing and dancing by the crew, dinner here felt like a celebration every night.

Menus rotate daily, and there’s always something new to try. My favorite dish? The 12-Hour Braised Short Rib with costine corte brasate, truffle au jus, green beans, and chive mashed potatoes. So rich and flavorful!

They also serve a Sea Day Brunch, and I couldn’t resist the House Special Skillet Cake that was topped with whipped ricotta, guava preserves, marshmallow, and maple butter. One word: WOW!

Oh—and don’t skip the afternoon tea! It features delicate sandwiches, sweet pastries, and the perfect excuse to slow down and sip.

Whether you’re in flip-flops or formalwear, Carnival Firenze makes sure your taste buds are on vacation too. From burgers and empanadas to tacos and elegant entrées, there’s something delicious waiting on every deck.
