I’m such a “Ramentic” 🍜 🥰!
Today was seriously a good day for trying out new spots! After a fun Yelp Elite Experience at nearby LATHER Long Beach, I stopped by JINYA Ramen Bar at 2nd & PCH. If you know me, you already know I love ramen — so I was super excited to try a new place!
This JINYA location is right inside the busy 2nd & PCH shopping center in Long Beach. They’ve also got seven other locations in California — including Canoga Park, Studio City, Santa Monica, Burbank, Downtown LA, Eastvale, and San Jose.
JINYA is known for their slow-cooked ramen broths, which are simmered for over 20 hours with pork bones, chicken, veggies, bonito, miso, kombu, and more. So you know it’s going to be flavorful.
I love that their menu has ramen options with beef, chicken, pork, and even vegan choices. Super inclusive and flexible, depending on what you’re in the mood for.
Besides ramen, they also have a ton of appetizers — and I had to try the Brussels Sprouts Tempura. These were SO good! I love the crispy Brussels sprouts with white truffle oil. The crunchy texture and the savory flavor were a true chef’s kiss!

For ramen, we got the JINYA Tonkotsu Black and the Tan Tan Men.
The Tonkotsu Black was my mom’s pick (but of course, I had to try it too!). It comes with a rich pork broth, pork chashu, kikurage mushrooms, green onion, seasoned egg, nori seaweed, red chili oil, spicy bean sprouts, and thin noodles. If you’re not into spicy food, you can ask for it non-spicy like she did. I really liked the broth — super smooth and flavorful — and that seasoned egg? Wonderful!

I went with the Tan Tan Men — and wow, it hit the spot. It’s made with chicken soy broth, pork soboro, baby bok choy, sesame chili seasoning, and a drizzle of chili oil, served with thick noodles. It had a nice spicy kick without being too much, and the flavors were so bold and comforting. Super satisfying!

This “Ramentic” left JINYA feeling full, happy, and already dreaming about my next bowl. They say true love is hard to find 😉 but I found it at the bottom of the ramen bowl!

From the crunchy appetizer to the flavorful ramen, everything was delicious and made for a perfect lunch at 2nd & PCH.
