This past March Sun Princess of Princess Cruises sailed for the very first time ever. I was blessed and lucky to be part of their inaugural season. The Sun Princess happens to be the largest Princess Cruise to date and also happens to have the most restaurants and lounges out of all the Princess Cruises fleets.

This foodie was definitely excited to try out the different eateries on the Sun Princess and I found myself quite the fan of Princess Cruises food offerings after this cruise.
Sun Princess Buffet
For most cruise goers; the buffet is one of the main go-to places when it comes to dining. At the Sun Princess; their buffet is on deck 9 and is called The Eatery. The Eatery consists of different international cuisines ranging from Asian to Mediterranean to Mexican. I absolutely loved that they had Filipino offerings and enjoyed having Filipino fare for breakfast. Their silog offerings consisting of tapa (Filipino beef), tocino (Filipino sweet pork), egg and garlic rice made for the perfect breakfast before shore excursions

Horizon Dining Rooms
Aside from The Eatery (buffet); cruise goers could also enjoy complementary fine dining via the Horizons Dining Rooms on deck 6 and 7. Formal nights made for amazing dinners at these dining rooms. I can’t help be a fan of their different 3 course meals.

Another option was to enjoy American fare at the Sun Princess’ deck 8; Horizon’s Dining Room. This dining room was dedicated to American diner fare. I was sold when I saw loaded fries on the menu.

Umai Teppanyaki
For even more speciality dining; one could also enjoy dining at some of the special dining restaurants around the ship. I got to eat at the Umai Teppanyaki and really enjoyed the Japanese fare and chef theatrical show.

Lido Dining Options
If one wanted something more casual while lounging on one of the outside decks; the Lido dining options on were the way to go. My fave was the one deck 9; which offered self serve ice cream.

Speaking of ice cream; I was definitely also impressed with the abundance of sweet treats on the Sun Princess. Their pastries were so beautiful.

A beautiful brand new ship along with delicious eats = an awesome vacation! I am definitely a fan of the Sun Princess!
